Mela Jay Jagannath A Lesson in Teamwork and Integrity
Mela Jay Jagannath In the heart of the kingdom, Gurumaa set forth a challenge for her students—a lesson in management, teamwork, and entrepreneurship. She handed them 100 mohars with a simple directive: turn it into 300 mohars through a collective business effort. Excited yet nervous, the students brainstormed ideas, but it was Balram who came up with the brilliant idea of organizing a grand Mela. The plan was foolproof—an event filled with entertainment, food, and games that could attract visitors from far and wide. However, greed and ambition soon took center stage, and what was meant to be a lesson in teamwork turned into a lesson in treachery.
Debjani’s Betrayal
As the students set to work, Debjani, one of the more ambitious students, saw an opportunity to take control. She cunningly took credit for Balram’s idea and positioned herself as the leader of the project. Under the guise of supervision, she assigned Balram and his friends the menial jobs while she took charge of all important decisions. The team spirit that Gurumaa hoped to instill was quickly replaced with resentment and hierarchy. But the real trouble was yet to come.
A Dangerous Deal with Jadu Baba
Kirkit and Damu, two students in charge of the entertainment department, were eager to make their mark. While looking for unique attractions, they encountered Jadu Baba, a mysterious trickster with an unusual offer. He possessed a bottle filled with enchanted smoke that could transform into a powerful monster, capable of performing one task for whoever hired it. Kirkit, blinded by his own ambitions, devised a plan to make himself the hero. He hired the smoke monster to pretend to harm Debjani, so he could rush in, ‘save’ her, and earn the favor of the king.
The Smoke Monster Goes Rogue
What started as a clever ruse soon spiraled out of control. Instead of merely pretending, the smoke monster broke free from Kirkit’s control and became a real threat to the entire Mela. Chaos ensued as people screamed and ran for safety. Even Debjani, who had orchestrated her own power grab, was now helpless before the very force that was supposed to make Kirkit a hero.

Balram and Jagan Save the Day
As panic spread, Balram and Jagan sprang into action. Unlike others who sought personal gain, they had always prioritized the well-being of the team. Working together, they quickly assessed the situation. Jagan, using his quick thinking, lured the smoke monster away from the crowd while Balram devised a plan to trap it back into the bottle. With impeccable coordination and trust, they managed to capture the monster and restore peace to the Mela.
A Lesson in Leadership and Integrity
As the dust settled, the students gathered before Gurumaa, who had been watching closely. She pointed out the failures of leadership, teamwork, and integrity within the group. Debjani’s greed had fractured the team, Kirkit’s selfishness had put everyone at risk, and only Balram and Jagan had demonstrated true leadership by prioritizing the collective good.
Gurumaa’s challenge was not just about making money—it was about understanding what makes a leader truly great. The students had learned that success is not just about ideas or authority but about working together with honesty and respect. In the end, it was not the Mela or the mohars that mattered—it was the invaluable lesson of teamwork, ethics, and selflessness.
As for Balram and Jagan, they proved once again that true heroes are those who think of others before themselves. And that day, they emerged not just as winners of the challenge, but as champions of character.
